Meet Captain Izaak King
Captain Izaak King is a second-generation Florida Keys captain who earned his Master Captain's license at just 19 years old—one of the youngest ever in the Keys. With over 10 years of full-time charter experience, Captain Izaak knows these waters intimately. Raised in Marathon, he learned from his father and has spent his entire life studying fish patterns, finding productive spots, and perfecting his craft. This isn't a part-time job or weekend hobby—fishing is Captain Izaak's passion and livelihood.

Reef Fishing
Our most popular trip! Perfect for beginners and families, reef fishing targets yellowtail snapper, grouper, mangrove snapper, and other tropical species on the spectacular Atlantic barrier reef. Expect consistent action, colorful fish, and great photo opportunities. The calm waters and steady bites make this ideal for kids and first-time anglers.
Bay Fishing
The backcountry waters around Marathon offer protected fishing when ocean conditions are less than ideal. These shallow mangrove areas are home to a variety of species and provide excellent fishing year-round. While mangrove snappers are available year-round, the cooler months (November through March) bring Spanish mackerel and sea-trout into the shallow waters.
Offshore Fishing
Venture beyond the reef to target pelagic species in deeper waters. Depending on the season, we'll pursue mahi-mahi (dolphinfish), sailfish, wahoo, blackfin tuna, and kingfish. Marathon's proximity to deep water means we can reach productive offshore grounds quickly, maximizing your fishing time.
Wreck & Bridge Fishing
The Seven Mile Bridge structure and numerous wrecks around Marathon create exceptional fishing opportunities. These artificial reefs hold goliath grouper, permit, tarpon, amberjack, and massive schools of jacks. The structure attracts baitfish, which in turn draw predators for exciting action.
